Appearance[]
The Gallimimus is a small, long-limbed theropod dinosaur, one of the few in the game with feathers. Its skin is black, though the feathery down on its torso is a brown color, paler at the neck. It also has a very long, ostrich-like neck, and an elongated face.
Strategy[]
The Gallimimus is a very vulnerable dinosaur, its only true defense being its speed and agility. It is also able to fall great distances without taking damage.
The best strategy to employ while playing this creature is to stick to expansive, open areas, preferably in groups. Doing so enables you to see any potential predators, and you will be able to escape quickly.
Another possible strategy is to stick around either an individual or group of large herbivores. They will often be a predator's main prey choice, and smaller carnivores, such as Utahraptor, will be deterred by their presence.
The last strategy is the most annoying thing ingame. because of its quick speed and also ability to 1 shot utahs it goes on a juvenile dino killing rampage on most servers especially taunting adults into running far away from their kids and then quickly turning and getting the juvenile dead so once you are an adult and most of the plants have been eaten. Go on a rampage in the redwoods and try to find lonely babies.
Behavior and Socialization[]
The Gallimimus is naturally very flighty, though often quite inquisitive, some even to the point of being annoying. They are often found hanging around large herbivores such as Triceratops, or in small groups on the plains.
Although being quite a sociable dinosaur, the Gallimimus only has one call, which does not allow for much variety in communication. It is often used as an alarm call.
Real-Life Information[]
Gallimimus (Gal-ey-my-mus; meaning "chicken mimic") is a genus of ornithomimid theropod dinosaurs from the late Cretaceous period (Maastrichtian stage), that lived in the Nemegt Formation of Mongolia. With individuals as long as 8 m (26 ft), it was one of the largest discovered ornithomimosaurs. Gallimimus is known from multiple individuals, ranging from juvenile (about 0.5 m tall at the hip) to adult (about 2 m tall at the hip).
