The Allosaurus is a large carnivore, it has short, red crests, while as the rest of the body is a reddish-brown color.
In Real Life[]
Allosaurus is a medium-sized allosaurid theropod dinosaur. It averaged 26-33 feet(8-10m) in length, about 2.5 ton in weight. It was a powerful predator that had a fairly typical theropod body plan with a large head, large arms, long legs, and a long, stiff tail. It had three-fingered hands with sharp claws that were up to 6 inches (15 cm) long. There are three valid species of Allosaurus: A. fragilis, A. europaeus, and A. jimmadseni.
Allosaurus may have hunted in groups. In groups, Allosaurus could ambush even the very large sauropods (like Diplodocus and Camarasaurus). It probably also preyed upon stegosaurs and iguanodonts. Allosaurus was the most abundant predator in late Jurassic North America.
In Game[]
In game, allosaurus is a strong and relatively large dinosaur. It's thought to be the strongest of all the medium sized dinosaurs within the game, it's only worrying threat in the medium sized era being Carnotaurus, and, possibly, a pack of Ceratosaurus. Even in 2022 Allosaurus is a very popular pick.
Stats-wise, Allosaurus is a strong carnivore that specializes in 'hit-and-run' strategies, bleeding out its opponents. It has stamina and speed high enough to escape most threats and chase its own prey down, and damage enough to quickly dispatch anything in a lower tier (and if you're skilled, the same or higher tier). Allosaurus is probably the dinosaur with the most "bang for your buck" as far as the "growth time to deadliness" ratio goes.
When you start playing keep away from predators and other allosaurus; they will most likely kill you. Some dinosaurs you can hunt solo are:

- Gallimimus
- Utahraptor
- Majungasaurus
- Ceratosaurus
- Carnotaurus
- Stegoceras
- Maiasaura
- Parasaurolophus
As a juvenile you are very weak and unable to take any other juvies larger than Ceratosaurus. Adolescent Allosaurus is still relatively weak compared to other adolescents, though if you're skilled you may be able to kill Adolescent Tyrannosaurus or even Adult Utahraptor. Adult Allosaurus is very strong in packs, and skilled Allosaurus can hunt just about any other dinosaur in the game, even sauropods like Diplodocus and Giraffatitan
Trivia[]
- "Allosaurus maximus" is now known to be a separate genus, Saurophaganax.
- The name, "Allosaurus" means "different lizard", referencing its vertebrae that were unique at the time of its discovery.
- Allosaurus can (almost) one shot an adult Utahraptor. The bleed does the rest.
- It once had a glitch when the legs goes underground, then it can fly. People experiencing this glitch were commonly thought be exploiters.

The Juvenile Allosaurus is one of the weakest juvie carnivores in the game. It is very slow and has very low health and attack. The only thing on you side at this state is your bleed.
